Rainbow

Since I last posted on my tiny collection of vintage Pyrex pie plates, I have amassed quite a few more! For all you fellow Pyrex nuts out there, here they are in all their vivid glory (oh and in case you think I'm alone and there AREN'T any other Pyrex nuts out there, head over to the Pyrex Collective, the truth is out there).

And now for the individual photoshoots...

You might be forgiven for thinking my collection is complete. But oh no, because I WILL NOT REST until I have a turquoise Pyrex pie plate. I have never actually seen one in real life but know they exist because of this post.

It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine ;-)

Ohh, I like the green one. Turquoise would be GORGEOUS!

I'll keep my eyes open for you.
Hard to choose a fave, although I do like that apple green one.

Beautiful collection Alice! I have the bright orange one and it's my favourite pie dish I own. I really like the apple green one too. Turquoise is my all-time favourite pyrex colour to collect, but my collection is no where near as extensive as yours!

I look for the coloured Pyrex plates all the time but never see them. If I spot a turquoise one, if I ever spot one, I'll be sure to nab it for you.

Those are gorgeous! Lovely colours. I have not seen those in Canada, they must be unique to Australia. The pie plates in Canada don't have that lovely ruffled edge.

wow, those are fabulous!
I must say, I've never seen a single one here in Toronto...

I live in Canada as well - sadly, no ruffled edge pie plates around these parts - they're sweet - and the colors I love!!

Oh my! All those lovely colors. That top photo of all the pretty pie plates all stacked high in a rainbow almost makes me want to start my own collection. Like I need something else to collect. I will have to live vicariously through you.

Thanks everyone! They're all either Crown Pyrex or Agee Pyrex, they were made in Australia so I'm not sure if any similar were made in the USA or Canada.

I have never seen the colored pie plates before. I must find one or 10 even though I can't back a pie if my life depended on it.
I finally did find a pink casserole dish, with cover though, so that was exciting. ;) Love your blog.

Hey! Back again. I found a small blue one today. It's a shame it is in very good not excellent condition with some slight rub marks. The turquoise is gorgeous!

WOW! I am in love with your Pyrex pie-plate collection. I found my first one the other day and I think my fiance was a little confused as to why I was so excited (it was turquoise, but not frilly-edged; I don't think many of those made it to the states). Can I admit to liking the frilly ones more even though I've never actually seen one? Ha, grass is always greener on the other side!

LOVE THOSE PIE PLATES! Alice would you mind contacting me? I'm looking for a friend in Australia to trade with or buy from. I have some great Made in the USA pieces. Thanks! You can find me at facebook page The Vintage Pink Sink.
