Pyrex Photoshoot

Today I thought I'd share some photos of my Pyrex Collection, for anyone else out there who loves gratuitous pyrex shots :-)

Over the last couple of years I have culled my collection hugely. I decided just to concentrate on particular shapes that I like the most such as the pie plates, cinderella bowls, littlest fridgies and smallest round casseroles. I also kept a couple of the rectangular dishes as they are really handy for making lasagne and potato bakes. As you can see my collection is now made up of brightly coloured mismatched designs stacked by size (4 different sized cinderella bowls) and style (apart from my yellow and black gooseberries, my only full set). I love how bright and beautiful all these retro patterns look together :-)

Bowls, I have a few

My name is Alice and I collect bowls. Too many bowls. But what is one supposed to do when they keep finding such cute little shapes and designs?

These bowls are a mixture of old and new, there are some vintage classics in there by Arabia of Finland, Fowler Ware, Royal Doulton and Villeroy and Boch as well as new designs by Jamie Oliver, Robert Gordon and Anthropologie.

Someday when we settle down and build MY dream kitchen, I will have gorgeous little purpose built shelves for all these beauties, they're just too pretty to be hidden away in cupboards :-)

Anyone else out there have a bowl obsession?

Leaves

Just a quick iPhone shot I took on my way home this morning.

Deep blue skies, leaves in the most vivid shades of yellows, reds and oranges... the beauty of Autumn never ceases to amaze me :-)

Swoon

Oh sigh, I think I may have found a new absolute favourite Etsy shop, based in Toulouse France, pretty much everything in this store is totally swoon worthy.

Take a look here :-)

A few more

My cupboards may be on the verge of overflowing with vintage mixing bowls but I didn't let that fact stop me from buying yet another bowl to add to my collection today, a large TG Green Gripstand for only $8!!! I would have been mad not to!!!

When I last posted on my retro mixing bowl collection I only had one bowl in this particular style, now look at my little pile! How could the sight of a stack of vintage mixing bowls NOT make you happy? :-)
