Today!

Look what I found today!

A beautiful set of Noritake china, 13 pieces in total.

I think this pattern is just so simple and elegant. It is the harwood design produced 1962-1974.

Each piece has such a classic shape.

The demitasse cups are just gorgeous.

The platinum detailing on the edges finishes them off beautifully.

Oh, I almost forgot to say how much I paid - $15!!!!!

Alice, this is stunning. I have a setting I inherited from my mum on my wedding day, whic is from the Portuguese fine bone china producer Vita Alegre which she received as a wedding gift in 1965. And I just love it to bits. What a wonderful find and for $15.00.

T?hat is a beautiful set. I think what I love about fine china like this is the feel of it. It just feels great in addition to looking fabulous.

That's a great find. I have one, also Japanese, that's a pale yellow, no print, but even has the little stickers on the bottom still. So hope you use it.

How very lovely - I'm gonna send this post to my brother who collects Noritake. Good find! Oh, and DH and I recently found 1 little Noritake cup/saucer set in a bluish/green color, demitasse-size for 50¢ It was made in the 40's in Occupied Japan.

Very pretty, you have to have afternoon tea now, complete with sugar in cube form, and cakes.
