A thing about tin

A common material I come across in thrift shops and at sales is tin, most of the items I have picked up are for the boys, some favourites are:

These cute tin toys are a nice addition to my boys' ever-growing collection. The little guy on the bike was $2 and the chicken was 50 cents in Vinnie's.

These cute little cars were 50 cents each in Ted Noffs.

Dr. Zeuss bucket was 50 cents at a garage sale.

Little pencil case was $1 in Ted Noffs.

Carousel tin was $1 in Ted Noffs.

This Thomas tin is a favourite, $2 in Salvos.

And for me, this nice tea caddy for 50 cents at a garage sale.

OMG I have the EXACT Morning Tea tin! Have had it so long I can't even remember where I found it, but I have always LOVED it - prettiest darn tin I've ever seen. Must haul mine out now....

these are all so sweet and nostalgic. esp love the pencil case. would be worried that my lot would trash some of those toys, but i guess they must be hardy if they have lasted this long!

Tin toys are so adorable and classic. They always seem to come in such wonderful colors. I especially love the first two, and that tea tin is beautiful :)

I LOVE tins for putting what-nots in. That must run in the family too!
