Acapulco

Today I thought I would share my Villeroy & Boch Acapulco collection with you...

Yep, that's it. One little tiny bowl (pictured from 3 different angles to show the full pattern).

Despite being totally in love with this design and being constantly on the lookout for pieces, the sum total of my collection is this single little bowl. Tragic isn't it?

Oh well, it will make it all the more exciting and rewarding when one day I stumble across a complete Acapulco dinner service for $30 at a car boot market (I can dream can't I?)...

I've never heard of/seen this design before but can see why you love it! I thought the rule was 3 pieces= a collection? :)

Hee hee, I'm calling my single piece a collection with the absolute conviction it is only the beginning of a fab array of Acapulco pieces, ever the optimist!

Could happen. I stumbled across an entire Hornsea dinner set at a Vinnies for $55. I'd been eyeing them off at antique and retro stores forever and I spied pieces to match my mum and dads' 70s collection in a Vinnies the other day. Just hoping it's still there when I get back for it.

Its such a gorgeous pattern - but everyone on ebay knows it so its £££. A lucky thrift find is the best hope.... My dad's got a similar coffeepot in his cupboard he doesn't use; its not acapulco, but I'm sure he'd appreciate the extra cupboard space if I took it off his hands;)

This is adorable! While we're dreaming, maybe you might find it in a box outside someone's house with a note that says "Free to a good home" :)
