Blogoversary Giveaway!

In a few days I will have been blogging for 3 years!!! I can't believe I've been writing this little blog for so long. I have always been dire at keeping up anything like this, my diaries always last a month at most and I initially assumed the blog would suffer the same fate. But I have really enjoyed it, I love reading the lovely comments I have received (thank you) and reading about other people's goings on.

So I thought I would have a little giveaway to celebrate. It's very easy to enter, this is a giveaway to thank my followers, so if you are a follower and would like to enter, just leave a comment to say so. That's it! I would like to say a big huge thank you to everyone who left such lovely, comforting comments regarding my Nana. She had a long life and was very unwell at the end, so it wasn't a shock but still very sad when she passed away. Your words meant a lot to me and it was so lovely to receive condolences from all over the world.

And I was also very touched to read Erin AKA Toronto Yardsaler's post regarding the linocut prints I made for her "Pay it Forward" gift. She has them beautifully framed and hanging up in her lovely home (I made the black and white ones), very exciting for me to see, thanks Erin :-)

Paying up

If you blow the dust off my archive you will see back in January I posted about "Pay it Forward" a lovely blog event where people send each other handmade gifts.

The deadline? 365 days - One Year!

So here I am, 11 months later, finally paying it forward. I would like to apologise to my 3 participants, Peace, Toronto Yardsaler and Thrifty Ba for taking sooo long on this. My only excuse is that I'm a very disorganised, last minute human being. But let's see the glass as half-full and think, "Wow! I did it a whole month before the deadline"!!! ;-)

My little gifts are all wrapped up and will be winging their way very shortly to Queensland - Australia, Toronto - Canada and Utah - USA.

Thank you for your patience, I hope you like my little efforts :-)

Pressies

Usually, checking our letterbox is not at all exciting, junk mail and bills just don't do it for me (although the occasional massive spider does liven things up for an arachnophobic such as myself).

Last week was a different matter altogether. Firstly I totally hit the jackpot with the person who made my Pay It Forward gift :-)

Thank you so much for my beautiful gifts, I am thrilled with them :-)

I should mention to the people who are waiting on my Pay it Forward gifts that I am nowhere near this standard in crafting but will do my very best. I hope to have your gifts to you soon. I am very much a last minute person, with a 365 day deadline there's a huge chance your gifts will be sent on the 364th day (only kidding, I'll get them to you well before then ;-)

Then some goodies I ordered from the Book Depository arrived. I totally blame Kate for this purchase for reminding me the Book Depository sells gorgeous stationery aswell as books ;-)

Not all the surprises came in the mail though, The Thrifty Ba sent me a message to say she has awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award. Thank you so much for this, it's always lovely to know people out there are enjoying my posts and thoughts :-) I'm supposed to pass this on to 15 other bloggers but to be honest I have a large list of blogs that I read and love them ALL, so please consider yourselves all very much awarded and enjoyed :-)

I did the draw the old-school way, wrote out all the names on a piece of paper making sure each name was entered the correct amount of times for being a follower, mentioning in their blog etc. cut them up, folded them, mixed them around in a big bowl and pulled one out at random. I had a chuckle when the winner was the very first person to have commented on the giveaway, karma :-)

100th Post Giveaway!

This is my ONE HUNDREDTH post!!! Who would have thought I'd make it this far? Certainly not me! So I am having a little giveaway to celebrate and say thanks to all my followers and readers, here's the prize!

The Nest Home Design Handbook is 192 pages full of interior loveliness. I don't have a copy myself but have had my eye on it for a while. One Year Old = Giveaway!

My Blog is one year old this week!! I can't believe I've made it so far - honestly I'm the type to constantly start projects and never see them through so I'm really glad that I have kept to this. I've really enjoyed writing it and reading all the lovely comments I've received over the last year. Thank you so much to everyone who has read, followed or commented, it's been great reading your blogs too and "meeting" so many great people :-)

Now for my little giveaway. It took me ages to decide what to give and then I thought - well my blog is all about thrifting and using it as decor and anybody who reads this blog must have a similar interest so a book on the subject would be an ideal prize - ta daaa!!
