Hi Alice, I have tried to comment on your blog, etc but maybe I have not set up my account properly, sorry if you are getting multiple messages from me, it does not seem to be working from my end.
Whoops, Hi Alice I think all my other messages to you got lost in the ether. Sorry this is the first time I have tried to comment to a blog. I was admiring your amazing Le Creuset collection and lost your page. I have a dutch oven 22 with scalloped handles like some of your pieces and was looking for your photos to compare as I am wondering the era of mine. Could you point me in the right direction? BTW Your photos are utterly gorgeous and tell such wonderful stories.
Thanks Shari :-) There are some great groups on Flickr if you search under "vintage Le Creuset", I think the scalloped edge casseroles were from the 1960s but am not sure of the exact date, Le Creuset have re-released some of the vintage designs in a series called "Heritage". Where did you get yours? :-)
Hi Alice, I am slowly cleaning out our family home. It must have been in our family since new as I remember the frypan being used often in the 70s but not this dutch oven, which probably explains why it still looks so good. The whole thing is just so gorgeous so I bought it home to keep it, but have now changed my mind and keen to move it on, i won't use it that much and I must declutter. I love it and am looking for information to post with it to sell. Otherwise I will just let it go and hope it goes to a loving home. Anyway thanks i'm not sure if i'll manage Flickr will have a look anyway. Shari
Hi, My name is Alice and this is my space to share my vintage finds and things I love. Having lived in Sydney, Australia for many years our family of five returned to Dublin, Ireland to live in July 2014.
Formerly a graphic designer, I'm currently a stay-at-home-mum with 3 little munchkins. I love all things vintage, particularly kitchenware and cute decor for my boys. My favourite way to relax is to go wandering through flea markets and op shops/thrift stores and I love sharing my favourite finds on this blog :-)
