My name is Alice and I collect bowls. Too many bowls. But what is one supposed to do when they keep finding such cute little shapes and designs?
These bowls are a mixture of old and new, there are some vintage classics in there by Arabia of Finland, Fowler Ware, Royal Doulton and Villeroy and Boch as well as new designs by Jamie Oliver, Robert Gordon and Anthropologie.
Someday when we settle down and build MY dream kitchen, I will have gorgeous little purpose built shelves for all these beauties, they're just too pretty to be hidden away in cupboards :-)
Anyone else out there have a bowl obsession?

I do! I have a collection of small Pyrex bowls, big Pyrex bowls, dessert bowls, big old ixing bowls, pudding basins...and the list goes on!
Oh yay, a fellow bowl enthusiast :-) funnily my next post is going to be about Pyrex, mainly bowls :-)
Yes although I am not admitting to that! I am not at that stage yet... my husband is putting up my hand here. They are so beautiful and I think I have found some more that I need to collect too. (inspired by your amazing collection) Pyrex did someone say that too.
Glad to hear it Deb, my hubbie's the same but I've told him you can never have too many bowls ;-)
Don't feel bad, you're not alone. For me it's strange little pottery cast offs that I am sure were someone's first attempts at the wheel, and Fowler Ware bowls. Sad, I know.
I love Fowler ware bowls too :-)
I DO have a bowl obsession.
Embarrassingly so.
And I don't even think I could deal with trying to take pictures of them all to write a post about them!
Maybe I could do it in shifts.....
LOVE your collection!
