I just adore mismatched plates and bowls. Single vintage dishes are so easy to find at markets and op shops and look really beautiful all laid out when entertaining or just stacked up together on a shelf.
Here are some of my favourites.
These dishes cost anywhere from 50 cents to $3 each. Don't they just belong together?

these are lovely.
Ali, do you remember Nan & Grandad going to the auctions in Dublin city when we were kids. They would always pick up what were known as 'mystery boxes' for a pound or two (in good old Irish money). You would never know what was in the boxes 'til you got them home, but they were usually jam packed with all sorts of random kitchenalia - Gosh, what I wouldn't give to go back in time and ransack their kitchen presses LOL !
Tara, I'd LOVE a mystery box!!! Can you imagine all the fab stuff ?!?
Thank you, I love how they look together :-)
I just love the plates! So beautiful, it's hard to pick a favorite. Now I have a new project!
