Cook a l'orange

My little collection of orange cast iron cookware has a couple of new additions...

A gorgeous vintage Le Creuset casserole - I use it for making sauces :-)

And this lovely little Le Creuset casserole, in mint condition, perfect for making pies...

Happily sitting with its big brother :-)

A little recap on my other pieces...

Now please excuse me while I squeal with excitement!!! My Dad is arriving from Ireland tomorrow!!! My boys have lots of fun planned for Grandad - swimming races, light saber battles, picnics... I hope he's well rested when he arrives ;-)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day :-) It's been years since my man and I celebrated the day of love, romance and all that! We both think it's a lot of commercial nonsense to be honest (although it took a few years of sending me red roses, chocolates and giant teddies for my hubbie to admit this - false advertising on his part? ;-)

Anyway, this year for some reason I decided to have a little bit of fun with Valentine's, hiding chocolate hearts in my boys' lunch boxes (including my hubbie) and decorating the dinner table with valentine balloons and glittery hearts, surrounded by which we enjoyed a yummy Indian takeaway and a bottle of wine followed by the most delicious little chocolate cake my lovely man brought home, all in all a very lovely evening :-)

Pictured here are a recent Etsy purchase I thought was fitting for the day, I love this set of clay hearts, beautifully glazed, they were on a recent Etsy treasury and I couldn't resist them and bought them straight away! Ah l'amour :-)

Schoolboy

My Little S started big school last week...

I don't think I've ever seen anyone quite as cuddly looking in their uniform - so tiny :-)

In the months leading up to this big day I have been quite stressed as to how it would go, how would he settle in? Would he like it? With him having special needs and not being able to talk yet how would I know the little details of his day?

Well, I needn't have worried, he has settled straight in, no tears on his first day (can't say the same for me), his teacher's daily reports fill me in on exactly what he's been doing and she is delighted with how quickly he has settled in and gotten in to the routine. At the end of each day, when I ask him how he got on I get so many smiles, he loves it! We're very lucky he's in such a lovely school with a very lovely teacher :-)

Phew, all that worry for nothing, thank God!

I can't believe my little man is a big schoolboy, the years are flying by way too quickly, only one year till my tiniest man starts school, please let this year go by veeery sloooowly.
