For Christmas my lovely husband and tiny munchkins made me up a Santa Sack of gorgeous pressies, all my favourite things, Chanel perfume, chocolate, books, essential oils, homewares, it was so exciting opening each wrapped gift, like being a kiddie at Christmas all over again :-)
One of the pressies was a lovely Jamie Oliver pasta machine, I've been harping on about making my own pasta for a while so yesterday morning I got to it...
You're shocked my pasta machine is robin egg blue aren't you? ;-)
Tossed in cream, garlic and parsley with some zucchini and beef strips it made a yummy lunch. I was surprised at how easy it was, apart from finding places to hang the strips of pasta to dry. I think a pasta rack will be my next purchase!
I'm not the only person cooking up a storm around here, my eldest little man is getting quite into helping out in the kitchen. Here he is making himself a healthy pizza snack, a lebanese bread topped with tomato paste, ham, cheese and olives...
Only about 50% of the toppings make it onto the pizza though ;-)

Oh good for him, great to see kids in the kitchen! I love your pasta machine, ours is a very ugly dark green,I think I'd use it if was that pretty blue..
Our pasta machine is a boring old stainless steel one. Yours is much prettier. My youngest daughter makes the pasta at our house, when she does it's draped everywhere!
My best friend's Mum (Italian) used to hang a broomstick between two chairs and hang her pasta over the wooden stick bit...maybe you could do that until you get a pasta rack.
Yummo. The pasta and pizza look delish! I think making pasta like that is something I would totally mess up. Lol
Your son is wise. He has already figured out one of the greatest perks of doing all the cooking: you get to do all the snacking in between!
