Pay it forward...

There is something fun going on in Blogland, here's how it works...

- I will make a handmade gift for the first 3 people who comment on this post.
- I have 365 days to do it in...
- What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise!

The catch is you must participate as well:
- You must have a blog and before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going.

A big thank you to my little birdie on whose blog I saw this lovely idea :-)

Clay

I'm sure I'm not alone in having every tiny detail of my ideal kitchen planned and picked out for when we have the home of our dreams. I would definitely love acres of open shelving stacked with both vintage and modern kitchenalia, including lots of cute little pottery pieces such as these recent finds...

Ironstone cups and saucers with a gorgeous retro pattern - $3 total.

Butterdish - $1.

I love the calming green of this bowl but it's the inside I love even more...

The swirls of colour and crackled glass glaze, lovely - $2.

You can never have too many ramekins, right? 50 cents each.

And one thing there will definitely be no shortage of in my dream kitchen is vintage pyrex! WARNING: I feel another pyrex post coming on soon. If you love pyrex as much as I do head over to Vonlipi's Favorites - she is giving away a fab piece of retro pyrex and you will love her blog, I am in envy of her finds, how can anybody possibly find every single type of pyrex butterdish that has been made? Would it be greedy of me to enter after winning Grunge Queen's fab giveaway? Yes! I won "Domino the Book of Decorating" - I am so excited! I have had this book on my wish list for ages, thanks again Grunge Queen!

One Year Old = Giveaway!

My Blog is one year old this week!! I can't believe I've made it so far - honestly I'm the type to constantly start projects and never see them through so I'm really glad that I have kept to this. I've really enjoyed writing it and reading all the lovely comments I've received over the last year. Thank you so much to everyone who has read, followed or commented, it's been great reading your blogs too and "meeting" so many great people :-)

Now for my little giveaway. It took me ages to decide what to give and then I thought - well my blog is all about thrifting and using it as decor and anybody who reads this blog must have a similar interest so a book on the subject would be an ideal prize - ta daaa!!

"Flea Market Style" is a really lovely book with tips on how to use your vintage / market finds to create your own unique fab interior. It's hard-back, 140 pages and features really beautifully photographed interiors and vignettes to inspire. The lucky winner will receive a copy of this book.

How to Enter:
This is my first ever giveaway so I looked around at others and will follow what seems to be pretty much the standard entry format.
1. Leave a comment and your name will go into the draw once.
2. If you are a follower or become one and leave a comment your name will go in twice.
3. If you have a blog and mention my giveaway (and let me know) your name will go in 3 times.

Easy peesy! I will draw the winner in 7 days, good luck!

For the boys :-)

I absolutely love using sweet vintage items as kiddy decor and these 3 cute recent finds have me giddy with happiness!

I've mentioned before I love the use of vintage board games as decor so this 3-in-1 board was a great find at $2!

I have a little collection of vintage cases growing but this adorable school-sized one has got to be my new favourite, the colour, the stickers... it's just perfect!! I got it for $8 at a market.

It's like they were always meant to be together, look at those greens...

This gorgeous little puzzle was $2 at a market, each side of the cube has a different image to make up 6 different puzzles in total - lots of fun!

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a fantastic 2010. We had a lovely time, the boys had great fun playing with all their new outdoor toys (despite pretty dismal weather over the last week), my gorgeous hubby got me some lovely surprises and I am excited about the year ahead, H will be starting school, S will be starting preschool and as a result D will be getting a lot more one-on-one time with Mummy :-)

I always tend to reflect at the start of a new year on all the good things in my life. I truly can't believe how lucky I am to have 3 such wonderful little boys, a happy marriage, the most fantastic parents and sisters in the world and to live in a place we love so much, I know I am truly blessed.

My Blog will be one year old on January 14th and I will be having my first ever giveaway!!! In the meantime I'm off to catch up on what you have all been up to on all my fave blogs :-)
